Indragiri Hilir’s Sectoral Statistics FGD: Strengthening Role for a Golden Indonesia

Indragiri Hilir – On Wednesday, October 9, 2024, the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) of Indragiri Hilir Regency hosted a Forum Group Discussion (FGD) themed “The Role of Sectoral Statistics for a Golden Indonesia” at the Harmona Inn Hotel, Tembilahan. This event aimed to strengthen sectoral statistics in Indragiri Hilir Regency as part of the One Data Indonesia initiative.

The FGD was officially opened by the Acting Regent of Indragiri Hilir, H. Erisman Yahya, S.H., M.H., and attended by various local government organizations (OPDs) as well as village representatives involved in the Desa Cinta Statistik (Desa Cantik) program. The presence of these participants is expected to enhance synergy in reliable and integrated sectoral statistics management.

During the main session, the FGD featured three speakers, including representatives from BPS Indragiri Hilir and an academic from the Islamic University of Indragiri. These speakers discussed the significance of sectoral statistics in supporting One Data Indonesia at the regency level. The discussion highlighted the crucial role of accurate and reliable statistical data in development planning, especially in anticipation of Indonesia’s Golden Era in 2045.

Through this event, BPS Indragiri Hilir hopes that the implementation of sectoral statistics in Indragiri Hilir Regency will continue to improve and provide widespread benefits for regional development planning.
