Towards a Quality Data Village: Developing a Beautiful Village in Bagan Jaya Village

Wednesday, May 7, 2025, BPS of Indragiri Hilir Regency carried out socialization and planning activities for the implementation of the Statistics Love Village Program (Beautiful Village) in Bagan Jaya Village, Enok District. This activity was led directly by the Head of BPS of Indragiri Hilir Regency, Sudiro, together with the Beautiful Village coaching team, and welcomed by the Head of Bagan Jaya Village, Mr. Mhd. Hafif.

The Beautiful Village Program is a BPS initiative to improve literacy, awareness, and capabilities of village officials in managing and utilizing statistical data. Through this coaching, Bagan Jaya Village is directed to be able to produce quality data as a basis for more targeted development planning.

The targets of this coaching include the preparation of village statistical publications, development of infographics, and development of a website containing the latest information and data regarding the village.

With the increasing capacity of data management at the village level, it is hoped that villages can make better and evidence-based decisions. The Beautiful Village Program is a strategic step to make villages the spearhead of data-based development.
