Tempuling – Head of the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of Indragiri Hilir Regency, Sudiro, attended the simultaneous rice planting activity held by the Indragiri Hilir Regency Government in Pangkalan Tujuh Village, Tempuling District, Thursday morning (4/24/2025). This activity is part of a collective effort to realize food self-sufficiency, especially in rice and corn commodities.
The event, which took place on agricultural land belonging to the Karya Maju Farmers Group, was also attended by the Deputy Regent of Indragiri Hilir Yuliantini, the Inhil Police Chief, the Dandim 0314/Inhil, the Deputy Chairperson of the Inhil DPRD, the ranks of OPD Heads, Sub-district Heads, Tempuling Forkopimcam, as well as local community leaders and farmers.
In her remarks, Deputy Regent Yuliantini expressed her hope that this simultaneous planting activity would be an important momentum in raising the spirit and optimism of the agricultural sector in Indragiri Hilir.
"We hope that Indragiri Hilir Regency can become one of the rice barns in Indonesia, especially in Riau Province. Therefore, let us together build a more advanced and sustainable Indragiri Hilir agriculture," said Yuliantini.
She also emphasized the importance of cross-sector synergy—including between local governments, farmers, and the private sector—in accelerating the achievement of food security.
BPS of Indragiri Hilir Regency, as a strategic data provider, fully supports data-based agricultural development policies. The presence of the Head of BPS in this activity reflects BPS's commitment to assisting the development of the agricultural sector through accurate and accountable statistics.
With solid collaboration and a spirit of mutual cooperation, it is hoped that the agricultural sector of Indragiri Hilir Regency can continue to develop and make a significant contribution to the welfare of the community.
