KSA and Ubinan Training 2024 for Quality of Agricultural Data in Indragiri Hilir

To start important activities in the field of production statistics in 2024, BPS Indragiri Hilir Regency held training on Area Sample Frames (KSA) and tiles for rice and corn crops. KSA is one of BPS's breakthroughs in obtaining data on the harvested area of ​​rice and corn using coordinate points and satellite imagery, while tile is a method of collecting food crop productivity data through sample points. These two activities do not use paper questionnaires, but use smartphone tools or Computer Assisted Personal Interviewing (CAPI).

 The training took place in a hybrid manner (a combination of online and offline) which was held on January 18 2024 for the online session and January 22 2024 for the offline session. The online session took place to introduce theories related to KSA and tilean to officers, while the offline session was held to practice KSA and tilean directly at the rice field location. It is hoped that the practicum session can be used as evaluation material as well as increase officers' understanding of the theories provided during online training by implementing them directly. In accordance with the direction of the Head of BPS Indragiri Hilir Regency, training officers with a system like this can encourage the achievement of the goal of producing quality data in the agricultural sector. Of course, this will have a positive impact on the accuracy of policies taken based on KSA results data and BPS tiles.
